What an Or Yehuda drive actually shows you
Or Yehuda is genuinely central — minutes from the Ayalon, minutes from Tel Aviv — and priced far below the cities around it. Renewal is transforming parts of it, and new towers have appeared where older blocks stood.
It also sits beside Ben Gurion, and the aircraft are a daily fact on some streets and barely noticeable on others. The drive films the difference, because it is the single largest variable here and it does not appear in a listing.

The one thing a drive through Or Yehuda will not answer
Aircraft noise is not evenly distributed here and it is not a small factor. Some streets are barely affected; others are directly under an approach and the difference is obvious the moment you stand on them. A listing will not tell you which is which, and neither will a map, because it depends on the runway in use as well as the geography.
The renewal question is the second one, and the usual rules apply: a block described as being in a scheme may have permits in hand or may have had one meeting years ago. Buy the building as it stands, establish the stage with documents, and treat the transformation as upside rather than as the plan.
